Not that long ago, a New York living food legend came to its final soup du jour. Ratner's, a landmark kosher, vegetarian deli in New York.
Ratner's was a famous kosher, dairy (and therefore suitable for many vegetarians as well) restaurant on the Lower East side of New York City. Since it did not serve meat in deference to kosher laws, it was regarded as a deli alternative to meat-serving (pastrami oriented) delis but also ideal for those who were either kosher or vegetarian or both. read more. . . .
